There is a Place

There is a place where does not exist inequality, misery, or poverty,

There is a place where there does not exist any cries, lamentations, or grief.

There is a place where does not exist injustice or corruption,

There is a place where does not exist any disappointment or frustration.

There is a place where does not exist any doubt about what will happen,

There is a place where there is no concern about what is coming.

There is a place where does not exist anything to disturb us,

There is a place where does not exist anything to take out the peace of us.

There is a place where does not exist the hurry nor time,

There is a place where there is no loss of sense of life.

There is a place where there is no night to bring things dark,

There is a place where there is nothing to afflict the heart.

There is a place where does not exist the need for the material goods,

There is a place where there is no greed and its evil.

There is a place where does not exist money nor the need to buy,

There is a place where does not exist the work to survive.

There is a place where does not exist the will to get out from there,

There is a place where does not exist the fear of things will finish.

There is a place where there is nothing to avoid your joyful,

There is a place where there is nothing to stop God from hugging you.

The Day

Each morning, my mind is renewed,

I declare that my day will be blessed.

I ask for God that His grace be poured,

I give thanks for everything He has granted.

I fill my mind with positive thoughts,

I consider this day another gift from the Lord.

I move away from me all negative thoughts,

I am already thankful for the blessings prepared by God.

These attitudes direct my whole day,

They allow me to have another vision.

I recognize God caring about my way,

I thank Him for His endless love and protection.

Whenever I can, I talk to the Lord,

I remember all His mercies.

I give thanks for His awesome favor,

I give thanks to have another day of victory.

At the end of the day, I thank the Lord again,

I give thanks for all the received blessings.

I give thanks for His permanent caring,

I ask for more blessings for the day that is coming.

The Change of a Disobedient One

In the beginning, I had no obedience,

To change, there was much struggle and persistence.

At first, I didn’t want to accept your will,

I chose my paths to walk, I satisfied my will.

I thought that this way, my life would be a pure thrill.

Your way seemed so narrow to go through it,

I felt that my lifestyle would never fit into it.

My way is to be free and without obligation,

I never set my heart in a serious direction.

Submission seemed like a humiliation.

I didn’t understand how so many people followed You,

People who, every day, sought You.

For them, there was no barrier,

If necessary, they would pray all night, like a warrior.

In my mind, all this was nonsense, they seemed inferior.

Obey someone I don’t even see?

Believe in the words that a book is promising to me?

Looking at it through my logic, it seemed useless,

I could not believe that it was all true, it was causeless.

I could never get used to this kind of reality; it was proofless.

At the highest point of my disbelief,

The wonder of his truth, the Lord showed me,

His great love, the Almighty God, showed me,

It was love at first sight, I understood that He saved me.

For a long time, God had already been on my path,

He had never let me walk alone; He was always there.

No matter how far from Him, I might be,

The Lord saved me from evil, He was with me.

One day, I finally understood this great love,

I decided on a definitive change in my behavior.

From that moment on, I would walk with God,

I would never again stray from the way of the Lord.

The Detachment and the Return

All was very different at the beginning of my journey,

I wanted to do all the work spontaneously.

There was no need for anyone to ask me,

There was no need for anyone to call me.

I was always on hand to do all kinds of work,

I dedicated myself passionately with all my effort.

The time passed, and my interest decreased,

I did not see my job as something useful and required.

I thought that there were other people to do it,

I thought I was only one more; nobody would need me.

I moved away from all work and obligations,

I sought other opportunities, other options.

Each moment, I was farther from the Lord,

With each passing day, I was more distant from His love.

My lips no longer sang His praise,

My life no long reflected His glory, splendor, and grace.

There was no difference between holy and profane,

There was no distinction between spiritual and mundane.
