Refuge

There are times when everything goes against us,

We feel helpless, completely alone, in the dust.

It seems that nothing happens to help us out,

There are only struggles and battles to wear us out.

We seek many places and try to flee,

But in none of these paths can we truly flee.

The world seems to be closing in all around,

All things try to throw us to the ground.

But amid all this, there is a good place to be,

Where we will be safe from all evil and so free.

It is the Throne of the Lord God, where I will find my peace,

In his divine dwelling, nothing will reach me.

The Lord God will be with me every day,

Protecting and delivering me from all enemies in the way.

Under his mighty hands, I will be,

Protected, calm, and peaceful, I will live.

I know that God will always be with me,

In all situations, He will always help me.

Being with God, I must not fear anything,

Knowing that He will do all that is necessary.

The Right Word

There is only one word that is rightful,

There is only one word that is truthful.

This is the word that came from the Lord,

The word of truth that was given by God.

A word that contains the absolute truth,

The word that turns away from evil.

It is the word that will never fail nor die,

It is the word that makes a person get it right.

A word with such great power,

Human beings alone cannot be the author.

It was made with divine inspiration,

That is why it is the word of life and salvation.

It can grant a new kind of life,

Where human beings will no longer die.

The soul of the human being will live forever,

With God, their soul will be forever.

The word of God will always help everyone,

From all evils, it will deliver the person.

They will always have a guarantee of life,

The guarantee that they will live on God’s side.

The Forgiveness of Jesus

That woman was being strongly accused,

Many people around wanted to stone her.

No one thought forgiveness and redemption,

They preferred to follow the path of condemnation.

The Lord Jesus was walking in that region,

And they asked Him if they should kill the woman.

The Lord did not want to condemn, He came to forgive.

That woman, He saved and told her not to sin.

This story is well-known by every Christian,

It is a lifetime very important lesson.

Jesus said how the Christian should always go on,

He showed that nobody rules about condemnation.

This is a lesson that should be greatly utilized,

But in many churches, it is not being practiced.

People love to point out mistakes to condemn,

They do not forgive and do not give the person a chance to change.

It is for this reason that people are walking away.

They are all doubting the love of Christians and his way.

They think the preaching of love is pure hypocrisy,

Because they see that people live the opposite.

If Christians want to win those outside Christianity,

They must change this hypocritical behavior and habits.

The true love of Christ is the great duty,

Only then, in his name, more people will believe.

The Great Threat

We must be careful at all moments,

We are surrounded by many threats.

Many things are trying to hit us,

Many situations can hurt us.

Among all the dangers, the cobras are the worst ones,

With their words, they launch terrible venom.

There is a source of curse in their mouths,

A destruction work is working in their tongues.

The cobra contaminates everything around,

It destroys its victim by taking it to the dust and ground.

The cobra spreads discord, sadness and lies,

Their only objective is to destroy victims' lives.

That one who is attacked live in great affliction,

They need help; they need protection.

There is only an antidote to save the victim,

There is only a Savior to that life.

This one is the Lord God Almighty,

He will destroy the cobra, frustrating all their deeds.

Everything that they have done will be destroyed,

It will be as if they had never existed.

The Lord God will take care of the one who was attacked,

On His powerful arms, the Lord will carry them.

God will turn his affliction into happiness,

The Lord will take them from despair to peacefulness.

The protection of God will be over that life,

God will protect them from everything against their lives.

No matter how many cobras try to attack them,

The Lord will eliminate each of them.

Interminable Fights

The walk is hard, and the journey is painful,

There is no rest, and there are always new battles.

Some of them seem interminable,

Some of them seem invincible.

I am fighting day after day, and nothing changes,

I always do my best, and the fight continues.

This fight drains all my strength and wears out me,

I do not see the light anymore; I do not see good things.

New difficulties come, and the fight has no end,

The despair comes, and in this way, I cannot stand.

I cry; I get desperate, and I claim help,

I need someone to help me in this battle.

A small light at the end of the tunnel is seen,

Someone will help me; the hope is renewed.

The person gets close and extends their hand,

The words said talk directly to my heart.

The Lord came to my fight and will help me,

He will give me strength and help me to win.

God says to me that bad days will always exist,

He comforts me saying He always will be here.

I breathe relieved because I know I am not lonely,

In all battles, the Lord will be with me.

I will face all the fights with my head up high,

The victory is guaranteed with the Lord on my side.

External View of Christianity

Christianity loses followers, and there’s an explanation:

Those outside don’t see the seriousness of the religion.

Outsiders see a million denominations,

Millions of different thoughts and emotions.

Even within the same branch,

Not everyone is in the same spirit of worship.

Among evangelicals, it’s impossible to see the spirit of unity,

Churches seem like rivals and live in arguments and disputes.

The best-known leaders wage grand battles,

They argue, fight, curse, and then nothing comes of it.

Without knowledge, the faithful ones follow them blindly,

They think a good believer must live on fighting.

Followers are blind because they do not seek the truth,

Most have never read the Bible or studied it seriously.

It’s much easier to believe the words the preacher says,

For them, there’s no need to read the word the Lord gave.

Because of this ignorance, Christianity falls into disrepute,

Those outside do not want to take it seriously.

They cannot believe the churches can lead to salvation,

Because there’s no freedom of life, there’s ignorance and alienation.

Idolatry and Reconciliation

The Lord does everything to help his chosen ones,

He levels their paths and delivers them from all dangers.

The Lord does not allow anything to harm them,

However difficult the struggle, the Lord will help them.

Unfortunately, the heart of God’s people is stubborn,

People are corrupt and prone to sin.

Even seeing all the wonders done by the Lord,

They stray from the truth and follow the destroyer.

Amidst sin, the name of the Lord is forgotten,

An image rises and this is praised by them.

They bow to the statue, offering adoration,

All practice evil, doing a great abomination.

The god made by them cannot hear nor reply,

It does not respond to prayers nor change lives.

Its material may be wood or some metal,

No matter what it is, its use is for evil.

Seeing these things, God sends the prophet to advise,

God’s servant says they must change their lives.

Everyone must return to the true paths.

The Lord is merciful and will forgive their sins.

If the people repent of everything and return to God,

They will be warmly received and welcomed by the Lord.

God will no longer remember the old sins,

It is a new life; the reign of love will begin.

Sadness on Difficulties

There are situations in life that seem to have no solution,

Everything seems impossible, and this takes out our motivation.

We stay anxious, unmotivated, depressed, without happiness,

Nothing makes us happy, and everything remembers we are in distress.

The time is passing, and it is like we were at rock bottom,

It is like we would give up and not wait for anything new.

The lack of hope generates a deep feeling of failure,

Because we think, “Nothing changes, independently of what I do.”

And with each passing day, it only grows anxiety and sadness,

Good feelings go away, and bad desires are what our heart has.

Extremely dangerous desires that can lead us to destruction,

In front of desperation, these desires can be a solution.

We cannot let ourselves be led by these kinds of desires,

Because we have someone who can fix our lives.

From the deepest rock bottom, He can free us,

We have the Lord Jesus Christ, who extends his hand to help us.

He extends his hand and takes us to a safe and quiet life,

He takes us from darkness and sadness, and He puts us in light.

Have faith in Christ, ask help from Him, and in your favor, He will act,

You will get out of a challenging situation, and a new life, you will get.
