The Last Egyptians

The Lord took out his people from Egypt,

Leading them through the desert in a good way.

A pillar of cloud guided them during the day,

At night, it was a pillar of fire to illuminate.

The Egyptians tried to follow the people,

There was a big uproar in that land.

The Lord promised that his people would be saved.

They made everything as God has said,

They camped in the place that was indicated,

Waiting for the moment that God would be glorified.

Facing the sea, Moses cried out to the Lord,

One great eastern wind was ordered by God.

The sea opened, and they passed on dry land.

The Egyptians also tried to cross the sea with them,

But the Lord made their army gets slow,

After the Israelites, they hardly could go.

Through the opened sea, the people of God crossed,

By the water, all Egyptians were covered.

On that day, they knew that God is the Lord.

From the hand of the Egyptians, they were saved by God,

Over the wicked people, his name was glorified.

Through the desert, the Israelites kept walking,

Even seeing God's signals, they started to complain.

They complained that they had no food supplying,

Moses cried to the Lord, and the food was provided by Him.

All the people satiated themselves.

The people were involved in a fight,

Moses went to the hill to pray to the Lord,

The Lord made his people win.

Moses had to keep his hands on high,

Aaron and Hur help him to do it,

And the first battle, they could win.

God was the strong arm of Israel,

He cared for his people night and day,

There was nothing they had to fear,

The Lord would protect them from everything.

The Pop Icons

About the Lord, some people are not concerning,

To show their own value is what they are wanting.

Instead of going to every place evangelizing,

With others, how much they will gain, they are disputing.

To save souls is not the prize disputed,

The prize is to be the most famous shepherd.

To be like a celebrity is what the shepherds are wanting,

They are not concerned about the more lives they are gaining.

They buy time on many channels of television,

They do their best to maximize their exhibition.

About their sheep, they start to forget,

With time, they think about the money they will get.

Wealth and power are their targets,

During the services, they start to do a market.

For the faithful, too many products they will show,

Saying that is everything for the work to grow,

But for the church that money will not go.

These men always ask for big offerings,

They always say there will be many blessings.

The humble and salvation gospel, they do not want to preach,

They only want to get money and become rich.

Of these kinds of men, you must keep away,

Seek those who preach the truth every day.

Instead of the pop icon, prefer that humble shepherd,

Because through Jesus’ humility, we were saved.

Freedom

I am free to adore you,

I am free to praise you.

I am free to glorify you,

I am free to love you.

Thank you, Lord, for this freedom.

I can do everything for Thee.

There is nothing that can stop me.

On your side, I can be.

One day, the Lord freed me,

Of the world, He separated me.

His glory, He showed me.

His love came and touched me.

About the sin, the Holy Spirit convinced me.

Of my mistakes, my soul regretted it.

Now, I am one of your beloved ones.

I love and praise you, the unique God, the Holy One.

Like Us

If Jesus were like us and had our emotions,

He only would think about himself and not his companions.

Jesus would not leave home every day of his life to preach,

He would prefer to stay relaxed at home on his couch.

If He were like us, He would want to be in modernity,

He would buy an expensive phone and would not help the needy.

Jesus would work only to buy what is fashionable,

He would not give any money to the good works.

If Jesus were like us, He would not leave Facebook,

He would share pictures showing his tunic and new look.

He would stay on WhatsApp talking with everybody,

But He would not go to the city to cure anybody.

If He were like us, He would judge all people around him,

In his speech, He would not think if the word is injuring.

He never would accept when someone would ask for forgiveness,

Instead, He would stay resentful and would keep it in his heart.

If Jesus were like us, to save us, He would not die,

He would keep quiet, for the bad people, He would not sacrifice.

If He were like us, Jesus neither would come to this world,

Because He would not want to live here with too many absurd.

But... Jesus is not like us, He is incredible,

Even if we do not deserve it, He loves his people.

The first concern of Christ is caring about the herd,

To preach, He did not think about distance or what will be earned.

Jesus is so marvellous that He gave himself because of love,

Jesus is so marvellous that He chose us to save.

Jesus is so marvellous that He forgives when people mistake,

Jesus is so marvellous that He will lead us to eternal life.
