Mary never asked to be adored,
She only fulfilled the mission she was given by the Lord.
Mary carried the Son of the Living God,
She was the chosen one to be the mother of Christ.
God chose Mary to exalt Himself,
Demonstrating the miracle, He would perform for all of us.
Fulfilling what was said before as prophecy,
That from a virgin woman, the Savior would come, gracefully.
Almost at the same time, another miracle happened,
Mary’s cousin, Elizabeth, also conceived.
This pregnancy was decreed by the Lord,
John the Baptist, the great preacher, would be born.
In two women, the Lord performed the miracle,
Both recognized his power and goodness.
Even though they were so richly blessed,
Neither of them asked to be exalted.
They always knew they were instruments,
It would not be made for them any monument.
Their focus was to do the will of the Lord,
Educating and raising humanly, the Savior.
At the right time, the two children were born,
They both grew up with their mothers.
Jesus and John the Baptist knew their mission,
In this world, they would bring a new conversion.
The mothers of the two were no longer mentioned,
Being understood that they should not be worshiped.
They fulfilled their role before the Lord,
The glory, and all the praise, they gave to God.
